Aims of my website

For two main reasons: to have one place where everything I consider important about my career can be stored, and in a way that is easy to navigate; and to publish some of my interesting and provocative, but as yet unfinished essays (intended for publication in volumes 3 of my trilogy, currently under preparation), with the aim of getting useful comments from the website’s visitors.

That I have had a successful career, and why so. That I am still active and working on an ambitious, interesting, and novel project – a trilogy – that I hope will be read widely in the English-speaking world, as well as by my Hungarian audience. And to convince open-minded persons that tolerance is better, smarter, and less stressful for everyone – for ourselves as well as for the potential targets of our intolerance – than voicing prejudice and bigotory.

The many former students I had taught around the world during my half-century of professorships around the globe; my extensive global network of friends, colleagues, and acquaintances; and anyone interested in a selection of certain key contemporary economic, political and social problems, especially those on which opinions differ greatly.
